Rosemary essential oil:
Improves hair growth:  Rosemary contains carnosic acid, which is known to heal nerve damage, tissue damage, and improve cellular turnover.  It encourages nerve growth and improves blood circulation. Without a proper blood supply, the follicles do not get the nutrients they need to grow the hair, and they can die off.
 
To use:  2 or 3 times a week for several months:  Using finger tips, massage a small amount (start with a few drops) of burdock root oil into scalp and hair. Wrap head with a towel and leave for 20 to 30 minutes. Wash with a mild shampoo.  This formula is also wonderful for adding shine, softness and body to hair ends.
